Chappellet Mountain Cuvee 2009

The Chappellet family has been crafting world class wines from their Pritchard Hill estate vineyards since 1967. The Chappellets were the first to plant vineyards exclusively on high elevation hillsides and the second winery to be established in the Napa Valley after Prohibition.   Today the six Chappellet children share their parents’ romance with Pritchard Hill's complex rocky soils and magnificent views. They are passionate about preserving the land by using sustainable farming techniques.
 

A big, rich wine crafted around a core of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Aromas of plum, fig, and cherry-cola lead to similar flavors that coat the palate. A full, round, and juicy mouth-feel give the wine a seamless quality. With tannins tucked into the body of the wine, a strawberry essence lingers on the finish.
