Geo Wines Chono Carmenere Reserva 2010

Geo Wines was founded five years ago with the idea of providing technical and commercial assistance to small, independently run wineries in Chile.  One of the founders of the company, Alvaro Espinoza, is credited with introducing biodynamic wine making to South America.  The grapes for this wine were handpicked in the Maipo valley and the wine was aged for 10 months in a combination of new oak and stainles steel.

Dark plum and blackberry flavors backed by spice, green herbs and smoky oak.
