Highland Park Single Malt Scotch Whisky Aged 12 Years 750ml

The Highland Park distillery was established in 1798 on the cold and rocky island chain of Orkney off the West Coast on Scotland.  The whisky produced there was sought after for high quality blends for much of the 19th and 20th century.  In the 1970's new owners decided that the quality warranted single malt status and the Highland Park 12 year bottling was born.
This whisky is a great example of the Terroir of the Orkeny Islands as the distillery continues to floor malt barley using peat sourced from the nearby Hobbister Moor.
 

Aromas and flavors of sea salt, honey, pineapple and pear with a lingering smokey finish.
