Lobster Point Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Lobster Point wines are made from grapes collected from Eastern Coast vineyards of the South Island, New Zealand.  This rugged area is renowned for it's seafood, particularly the New Zealand lobster, hence the label name for this seafood friendly wine.
The palate shows ripe passion fruit flavors, filled out by a luscious creaminess and followed by an intense backbone of acid. A clean finish which leaves notes of gooseberries and tropical fruit on the palate.
