Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal Sombra Mezcal 750ml
Sombra
is a micro batch single village mezcal made from espadin agave that is
organically farmed in the small village of San Luis Del Rio. In this
pueblo of 200 people, at an elevation of 8,000 feet, the agave is grown
and then buried and baked for five days over a mesquite fire. It is
then stone ground and fermented using only wild yeasts prior to
distillation in a wood fired copper pot still.
Sombra has a spicy, fruity and smokey nose with a high note of citrus. It is smooth and warming to the palate, with a clean and fruit-driven finish.
